Filter explicit results out of Google Search.

Why bother?

Without SafeSearch, a Google image search for anything innocent can land on porn. This is the single fastest 3-minute fix you can do.

Open Google SafeSearch →

Do this, in order

    On the kid's device, go to google.com/safesearch

    Make sure they're signed into their Google account first.

    Choose Filter

    Not Blur — Filter hides results entirely.
  3. 3

    For under-13s, lock it with Family Link

    Open Family Link → kid's profile → Controls → Filters on Google Search → SafeSearch ON and locked.

    Repeat on every device they use

    Phone, tablet, laptop, school Chromebook if you can.
  5. 5

    Test it

    Search something like "sexy" on Google Images. If you see only innocent results, it worked.
