Set a Parent PIN, turn off chat with strangers, only allow age-appropriate games.

Why bother?

Roblox has millions of daily users — most are kids, some aren't. Without a Parent PIN, your child can talk to anyone and play 18+ games.

Do this, in order

  1. 1

    Sit at a computer with your kid

    Go to roblox.com and sign into their account.
  2. 2

    Gear → Settings → Security

    Verify the age is correct.
  3. 3

    Add a parent email

    Account Info → Parent Email. Use YOUR email.
  4. 4

    Parental Controls → Account PIN

    Pick 4 digits the kid doesn't know.
  5. 5

    Account Restrictions ON

    Limits to safer games and disables stranger chat.
  6. 6

    Privacy → Who can chat → Friends only

    Same for messages and invites.
