Turn off NSFW content and trim notifications.

Why bother?
Reddit has a lot of good stuff and a lot of awful stuff. The NSFW toggle hides the worst.
Do this, in order

Profile → Settings → Account
Scroll to Adult content. - 2
Enable adult content → OFF
Also turn off Show NSFW in searches. - 3
Notifications → mute most
Stops Reddit nagging them back. - 4
Privacy → Chat requests → Nobody
Strangers can't DM. - 5
Mute toxic subreddits
Content preferences → Communities.
