Filter DMs from strangers and turn on Family Center.

Why bother?
Discord is mostly servers full of strangers. By default, anyone can DM your kid. Family Center lets you see who they message without reading the messages.
Do this, in order

On YOUR phone, install Discord and sign up
Use your real name. - 2
Settings → Family Center → Connect
A QR code appears. - 3
On the kid's Discord, scan the QR
Settings → Family Center → Scan QR. - 4
Confirm on both sides
Weekly emails show their activity. - 5
Privacy & Safety → Filter direct messages
Set to: Filter all DMs. - 6
Who can add you as a friend → Friends of Friends
Stops random adds. - 7
Server permissions → review every server
Leave anything weird.
